Privacy Policy

Nuri is a pregnancy and parenting support application. Protecting your data, especially your health data, is at the heart of its design.

1. Data Collected

When you use the application, we collect only the data necessary for it to function:

• Account data: first name, email address, sign-in method (email, Google, or Apple).
• Pregnancy data: estimated due date, health fund, content preferences, and the optional answers provided during setup (cultural context, preference regarding information about genetic screenings).
• Content created by you: completed steps, notes, shopping list, and the photos, notes, and links added to the vault.
• Technical and diagnostic data: when the application crashes or hits an error, an anonymous report (device model, operating system version, and the technical details of the error) is sent to Firebase Crashlytics. These reports are never linked to your account — the application deliberately never sends your user identifier to Crashlytics.
• Product-usage data: to understand how the application's features are actually used — for example, which onboarding steps are completed and where they are abandoned — the application sends pseudonymous usage events to Firebase Analytics (screen views and feature interactions). Firebase Analytics assigns a random app-instance identifier to this installation and derives a general geographic area from the device's masked IP address for aggregate usage reports. It does not receive your precise location or use the device's Location Services permission, and advertising identifiers are disabled. This data is never linked to your account: the application never sends your user identifier to this service. You can turn this collection off at any time from the app's Settings screen.
• Push notification identifier: if you enable notifications, a device token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging is stored with your account so reminders can reach your phone. It is removed when you sign out or turn notifications off.
• Device integrity token: requests sent to our servers may carry an attestation token issued by Google Play Integrity (Android) or Apple App Attest (iOS), confirming that the request comes from a genuine, unmodified copy of the application. It contains no personal data.

We do not collect your precise location. The heat-alert feature uses only a coarse region that you choose yourself (North, Haifa, Center, Jerusalem, Negev, or Eilat), and the application never asks for location permission. We do not collect your contacts or any advertising data. The application does not contain advertising.

2. Use of Data

Your data is used exclusively to: generate your personalized tracking timeline, synchronize your information across your devices and with the partner you invite, and ensure the proper operation of your account.

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

3. Hosting and Security

Your data is hosted by Google (Firebase), but not all of it in the same place:

• Your account, pregnancy data, notes, shopping list, and logs are stored in Firestore, me-west1 region (Tel Aviv, Israel).
• The photos you add to the vault are stored in Cloud Storage, us-east1 region (United States). Those photos are therefore transferred outside Israel and outside the European Union; Google Cloud's data transfer terms apply to them.
• Crash reports are processed by Firebase Crashlytics on Google infrastructure.

Access is protected by strict server-side security rules: only you and the members of your family circle whom you have explicitly invited can access your pregnancy data. Vault photos are never exposed through a permanent public link — each time one is displayed, a short-lived link is issued and your access rights are re-checked.

4. Third-Party Services

Nuri relies on the following third-party services for the purposes described below:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, App Check, Analytics) — hosting, accounts, synchronization, notifications, crash reporting, and anonymous usage analytics.
• Google Play Integrity (Android) and Apple App Attest (iOS) — verification that requests come from a genuine copy of the application.
• Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple — optional sign-in methods, used only if you choose them.
• Open-Meteo — weather forecasts for the heat-alert card. Forecasts are fetched by our server for six fixed points in Israel; no data about you is ever sent to this service.
• YouTube — activity videos are loaded only when you choose to play one, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedding on Android/web and a native YouTube player on iOS. YouTube may process technical information and playback activity under its own Privacy Policy. Nuri does not send your pregnancy records to YouTube.

Nuri does not use these services to sell your data or for advertising on Nuri's behalf. When you play a YouTube video, YouTube's own policies apply.

5. Sharing Within the Family Circle

If you invite a partner using an invitation code, that person gains access to the shared pregnancy data (timeline, completed steps, notes, shopping list, vault). You remain free never to invite anyone.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time — see the Account and Data Deletion page.

Anonymous crash reports are retained by Firebase Crashlytics for at most 90 days. Because they carry no account identifier, they cannot be tied back to you and are not affected by an account deletion.

Product-usage analytics events carry an app-instance identifier but no account identifier, so they cannot be tied back to your Nuri account and are not affected by an account deletion. You can disable this collection at any time from the app's Settings screen.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. Most of these actions can be carried out directly in the application (profile, vault, account deletion). For any other request: victorburtman@gmail.com.
